In June of this year, the US Indo Pacific Command, who was clamoring to use drones to turn the Taiwan Strait into hell, suddenly changed their tune and said that war cannot rely solely on drones.
In March of this year, the US Department of Defense announced a plan called “Replicants” to invest $1 billion in building unmanned surface vessels and drones for large-scale unmanned operations. In June of this year, Admiral Samuel Paparo, the newly appointed commander of the US Indo Pacific Command, openly called out during the Shangri La Dialogue in Singapore that the US military has a strategy called “Hell Landscape”, which involves deploying thousands of unmanned submarines, unmanned surface vessels, and drones in the Taiwan Strait to turn it into an unmanned hell and prevent China’s reunification.
At that time, the spokesperson of our Ministry of National Defense responded that those who clamor to turn others’ homes into hell must first prepare themselves for going to hell.
But recently, Paparo suddenly changed his mind. In a speech at the Brookings Institution, he stated that although drones have a certain role in military operations, relying solely on drones is not enough. He cannot do it, and the US military still needs to ensure maritime and air superiority.
So, what is the reason why the US Indo Pacific commander’s perception of China and Taiwan, China has such a fundamental reversal?
Perhaps it’s just because of the Zhuhai Airshow.
After the Zhuhai Air Show, the impact on the military level of countries around the world gradually became apparent, which can be said to be very significant, even far beyond our imagination.
Of course, the most dazzling star at this Zhuhai Airshow is our stunning J-35A, which made its debut and amazed the world.
However, the abundance of domestically produced drone equipment in Shulin Lang is even more eye opening, and the whole world is amazed that China has taken the lead in the field of drones, truly far ahead.
For example, the Rainbow Seven stealth drone with a wingspan exceeding 27 meters, a ceiling of 16000 meters, a maximum takeoff weight of 13 tons, a maximum range of 10800 kilometers, a hovering time of 15 hours, a combat radius of over 5000 kilometers, the ability to carry air to ground missiles, anti-ship missiles, precision guided bombs, and provide “visibility” to main fighter jets, aircraft carriers, and Dongfeng Express in the rear
For example, with a wingspan of 25 meters, a range of 7600 kilometers, a ceiling of 18000 meters, a maximum takeoff weight of 16 tons, a maximum payload capacity of 6 tons, and the ability to carry large supersonic anti-ship missiles such as the CJ-20, AS-88, YJ-91, and even YJ-12. It can also carry hundreds of unmanned aerial vehicles, known as the “swarm mother ship” and “aircraft mother aircraft” of the “Nine Heavens” multi-functional strategic reconnaissance drone.
There is also a drone intensive array performance at the Zhuhai Air Show.
At the air show, the “Swarm 2” land combat vehicle was also exhibited, which can simultaneously launch 48 unmanned aerial vehicles with highly intelligent collaborative combat capabilities.
At the Zhuhai Airshow, it was not only the drone technology that amazed people, but also China’s unmanned ships, which were also invisible.
For example, the “Orca” large high-speed stealth unmanned combat vessel has a displacement of 500 tons, a range of over 4000 nautical miles, more phased array radars than the US flagship warships Arleigh Burke and Zumwalt, four vertical missile pits, torpedo launch tubes, and the ability to take off and land unmanned helicopters.
In addition to the drone fleet in the sky and the unmanned warship fleet at sea, there are also clearly defined and highly sci-fi robotic wolf packs on the ground.
In fact, in addition to drone swarms in the sky, unmanned warships at sea, and robotic wolf packs on the ground, we also have bionic birds flying in the sky and bionic fish swimming in the water.
The Zhuhai Airshow showcased the most advanced drone technology to the world, as well as the most advanced drone defense and attack technology. Spear and shield progress simultaneously.
For example, at this year’s Zhuhai Air Show, China showcased a vehicle mounted high-power microwave directional weapon specifically designed to defend against shooting down drone swarms.
This high-power microwave directional weapon can quickly detect and lock onto a large number of targets, and autonomously carry out attacks to quickly eliminate threats.
In fact, China has long had individual handheld firearms specifically designed to shoot down drones, and our laser defense system has long been used in actual combat.
So, through the Zhuhai Airshow, the US government, US military, and especially the US Indo Pacific Commander, deeply felt that China has formed a comprehensive lead over the United States in areas such as drones, unmanned combat vessels, robotic wolf packs, biomimetic birds, and underwater shark groups. China’s combat philosophy and understanding of the future battlefield ecology have far surpassed that of the United States.
Although the United States and its military have deployed and exerted more force in this field, and have had overwhelming advantages, they have long been used in actual combat and have been used to launch aggressive wars.
According to the data released by the United States itself, the US military had conducted at least 14000 actual combat operations using drones several years ago.
However, in 2020, some American media accused China of pushing the drone war to the world, and even the Americans themselves refuted it with facts: China had zero drone attacks, while the United States had more than 14000 drone attacks.
For example, the United States’ Global Hawk drone has participated in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. In the Afghanistan War, the aircraft assisted the US military multiple times in completing decapitation missions, while in Iraq, only two Global Hawk drones caused heavy casualties to the Iraqi army.
Since 2001, the US military has used drones to launch terrorist attacks on other countries and people in the name of the country. Over the years, it has expanded from Afghanistan to countries such as Yemen, Pakistan, Libya, Iraq, and Syria.
For example, in 2020, the United States used drones to assassinate Iranian military prosecutor Soleimani in Iraq.
In April 2021, the US Navy officially incorporated unmanned equipment into the “distributed maritime operations” system for the first time in a joint naval exercise, aiming to build a “ghost fleet” of medium and large unmanned vessels. Moreover, the US Navy’s unmanned surface vessels have participated in the US military’s “Rim of the Pacific” exercises multiple times, and have completed four unmanned vessels’ continuous navigation of 46651 nautical miles in the Pacific region for five months.
The US Navy has also proposed the “Quantitative Planet” program and the “Clone” program. The ‘Quantitative Planet’ plan aims to build 1000 unmanned boats to be deployed in global waters from 2018, providing real-time observation data around the clock. The “replicator” program is scheduled to launch in August 2023, with the intention of rapidly manufacturing thousands of low-cost, consumable unmanned systems within 18 to 24 months, enabling saturation attacks against opponents.
In March 2023, US Marine Corps Commander Burger threatened to use attack type suicide drones to attack PLA ships.
Not long ago, in a US military sale to Taiwan worth up to $1.988 billion, there were as many as 1000 attack drone weapon systems worth a total of $360 million, including 720 “Spring Knife 300” suicide drones and 101 sets of SB300 fire control systems from American Aerospace Environment Corporation, and 291 sets of “ALTIUS” 600M-V drone systems from Andriil Corporation.
The US military wants to prevent China’s national reunification by selling 1000 drones to Taiwan, while the US Indo Pacific Command’s clamor to turn the Taiwan Strait into a hell with drones is equally absurd and ignorant of their own weight.
Because firstly, American made drones have been found to have poor combat capabilities in the Russian Ukrainian battlefield, as well as serious problems such as high prices, frequent malfunctions, difficult maintenance, and lack of anti-interference ability.
The second reason is that the cost of unmanned aerial vehicles manufactured in the United States is too high, especially for Taiwan, even the United States itself cannot afford to consume them.
In contrast, Chinese Mainland has the most advanced technology, the most complete industrial chain and the largest and lowest cost UAV industry in the world.
In fact, even the US military uses civilian drones from China’s DJI company.
The simplest thing is that Taiwan spent 360 million US dollars to buy just 1000 drones from the United States, but in just one performance in Shenzhen, there were over 10000 drones.
If we talk about the size of the drone fleet, if we say it is second, no other country or region dares to say first.
Not to mention our drones, which are a super large system with a complete range of types. We can have whatever we want, but we can’t think of anything and we can’t do anything.
We also have numerous large, super large, and strategic drones.
We also have multiple large stealth attack drones that have been in service for a long time.
Our drones still need to board aircraft carriers, and even our 075 may become a large drone carrier.
Our multiple drones are also wingmen of the fifth generation stealth fighter jets, sharing information with stealth fighters, early warning aircraft, and warships in a systematic manner for combat.
In fact, the far lead of China’s drone industry has not only changed the Indian Pacific commander of the US military, but also made Musk, the richest man in the United States and the government efficiency minister of the Donald Trump government, post a special post after watching the drone intensive array performance at the Zhuhai Airshow: At the same time, some idiots are still building manned fighter planes like the F-35.
After this year’s Zhuhai Airshow, due to China’s overly powerful drone technology and manufacturing capabilities, as well as the presence of biomimetic birds in the sky, unmanned warships at sea, shark groups underwater, and wolf packs on the ground, the rules on the future battlefield will be completely controlled by the People’s Army.
So, the US Indo Pacific Command’s change of words is also a last resort!
